4-H Zimbabwe has been on a drive to use sport as a tool to promote peace and tolerance amongst individuals from different political and social backgrounds. The aim has always been to contribute and promote inter-cultural dialogue to ensure a peaceful environment.

Sport has also proved to be an essential tool to engage young people on issues that may be affecting them such as drug and substance abuse, unemployment, crime, violence and discrimination.

The organization has held sports tournaments in Harare and Masvingo Province where young people from different political parties played sports together as way of promoting tolerance. This initiative has also spread out to Universities where young people from the two prominent students movements thus ZICOSU and ZINASU played soccer and netball in a bid to promote peace and tolerance. Sport proved to be an essential tool for engagement and education as in between the games, they would be educated about the importance of peace and why it is important to tolerate one another.

4-H Zimbabwe has also engaged young people and children from rural communities and children using sport. In these sporting events, young people were educated about the dangers of using drugs and substance abuse and the importance of maintaining peace within their communities.

Sport has also been used by the organization to promote peace and improve the mental wellbeing of prison inmates in Chikurubi Maximum Prison which is the biggest prison in Zimbabwe.
