In 2019, 4-H Zimbabwe became an independent not forprofit organisation. The organisation is a member of NANGO, 4-H Global and Africa Network and Zimbabwe Youth Council.
4-H Zimbabwe History and Background
4-H Zimbabwe is a legally registered not-for-profit organisation in 2019 whose vision is to witness a prosperous Zimbabwe where young people collectively play a significant role in sustainable development. The organisation is a member of the 4-H Global Network, 4-H Africa, the National Association of Non-Governmental Organisations in Zimbabwe (NANGO), and an alumnus of the World Justice Challenge. 4-H is a global network represented in over 75 countries. At the governance level, 4-H Zimbabwe has a board of trustees that sits every quarter, providing an oversight role. At the operational level, the organisation has a secretariat and provincial coordinators, represented in all 10 provinces in Zimbabwe. 4-H Zimbabwe is a national organisation that operates in all ten provinces in Zimbabwe.

Strategic Objectives
- To promote sustainable climate-smart agriculture-based resilience, anchored on mitigation and adaptation, against climate change effects amongst vulnerable communities in Zimbabwe by December 2029.
- To foster empowerment and capacity building of youth and special groups for meaningful and active participation in peacebuilding processes, development, governance, democracy, and leadership in Zimbabwe by December 2029.
- To help youth and children learn how to lead lives that balance physical, mental, and emotional health in Zimbabwe by December 2029.
Awards

4-H Zimbabwe has been recognized as a critical player in peace building, conflict transformation and community development locally, regionally and internationally.
Internationally, from Peace and Sport in Monaco, for the effective use of sport as a tool to promote peace and political tolerance in the world.
Internationally, another recognition as a finalist by the World Justice Challenge, Chicago, USA under the Youth Engagement category from the 424 submissions representing 109 countries for our innovative approach towards inclusive youth participation in Zimbabwe.
Regionally, through an award from the African Union Political Affairs, Peace and Security Department (AUPAS) for advancing the youth peace and security agenda in the region.
Locally, recognition for community development work by the National Association of Non-Governmental Organisations in Zimbabwe (NANGO).
Locally, another recognition for its peacebuilding and sustainable development work in Zimbabwe from The Diplomat Awards.
