Over the weekend 4-H Zimbabwe engaged young people from different sporting academies from across the country in a sporting event.
Program Manager for 4-H Zimbabwe Mr Dewa gave a brief background about the work that has been done by 4-H Zimbabwe in using sport as platform for communication.
He highlighted that 4-H Zimbabwe has been using sport to promote peace, social cohesion, and anti drug abuse awareness.
ZIFA Chairperson for Midlands Province Mr Mathe commended the work done by 4-H Zimbabwe in using sport as a tool to educate young people and for providing sporting equipment to them.
He said that such initiatives are important in ensuring that young people understand the consequences of using drugs and that being physically active contributes significantly to their physical and mental wellbeing.
In concluding his speech, he said that ZIFA is in full support of such initiatives, and it is his wish to see more and more of similar engagements.
